Privacy Policy

Dublu is a private space for two. We collect only what the app needs to work, we never sell your data, and we don’t use advertising trackers. Your partner sees what you share in Dublu; nobody else does.

This policy explains how Soloventure LLP (“we”, “us”), which runs Dublu at dublu.in, handles your personal data. We are the data fiduciary for it under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

Your account

• Your name, email address and profile photo, from Google sign-in or the email you sign in with.
• A user ID that Firebase Authentication assigns to you.

What you and your partner create

• Routines, their schedules and your completions, Care Coin balances, streaks and history.
• Treats on your Care Menus (including hidden surprises), vouchers, cheers and sparks.

All of this is shared with your partner, and only with your partner. It is the point of the app.

Notifications

If you turn on nudges, your browser gives us a push subscription (a web address and keys) so we can notify you when your partner does something. Notifications pass through your browser maker’s push service (for example Google, Apple or Mozilla).

Payments

Payments for Dublu Pro are collected by Soloventure LLP and processed by Razorpay. We receive the payment link and payment IDs, the amount, its status and any promo code used. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. Razorpay handles them under its own privacy policy.

Sponsor cards

When someone reveals a surprise, Dublu may show a sponsor’s card. We count how many times each card is shown and tapped, as totals only: we don’t record who saw or tapped it, and we share nothing about you with sponsors. If you open a sponsor’s link, their website’s own privacy policy applies.

On your device

Dublu stores your sign-in session, an offline copy of your data and your theme choice in your browser, so the app works quickly and offline. We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies.

Why we use it

• To run Dublu: sign you in, pair you with your partner and keep your shared space in sync.
• To send the notifications you’ve asked for.
• To process your Pro payment, credit a partner’s promo code, and keep the records tax law requires.
• To keep Dublu secure and fix problems.
• To answer you when you contact us.

We use your data only with your consent, given when you sign up and use these features, or where the law allows or requires it.

Who processes it for us

• Google Firebase (authentication, database, hosting and server functions), on Google Cloud. What you share in a dublu started in India or nearby is stored in Mumbai, India; other dublus, and your account details and payment records, are stored in the United States.
• Razorpay (payments), in India.
• Cloudflare (storing and delivering sponsor card images, which contain no personal data).

Each works under contract and only on our instructions. We don’t sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we don’t share it with advertisers.

How long we keep it

• Your account and shared space: until you leave the pairing or delete your account.
• Leaving a pairing permanently deletes everything the two of you shared, for both of you.
• Deleting your account (Profile → Delete my account) also deletes your sign-in and profile, straight away.
• Payment records (order and payment IDs, amount, date) are kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires, currently up to 8 years, even after you delete your account.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can:

• ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• correct or update it (your name and photo come from your sign-in);
• have it erased, which you can do yourself by deleting your account;
• withdraw consent, by turning off notifications or deleting your account;
• nominate someone to act for you if you die or can’t act; and
• complain to our Grievance Officer, and then to the Data Protection Board of India.

Email admin@soloventure.org from the address you sign in with. We reply within 15 days.

Security

All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). Database rules let only the two partners of a pairing read its data, and payments are verified on our server before Pro switches on. No system is perfectly secure, but we’ll tell you and the authorities promptly if a breach affects you.

Age

Dublu is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it, and we don’t knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top, and tell you in the app before any change that affects how we use your data takes effect.
